Create a personalized mirror frame using craft supplies to remind your child that they are special every time they look at their reflection.
Instructions:
Cut a piece of cardboard larger than the mirror to serve as the base.
Glue the mirror to the center of the cardboard.
Use the foam stickers, gemstones, and markers to decorate the border around the mirror.
Encourage your child to choose colors and shapes that they love best.
Once finished, have your child look in the mirror and say, 'I am special!' just like Pixie.
You will need:
Bake and decorate wing-shaped or person-shaped cookies where every single cookie is decorated differently, just like every person is unique.
Instructions:
Prepare the sugar cookie dough according to package instructions.
Roll out the dough and use the cookie cutters to make shapes (wings or people).
Bake the cookies and let them cool completely.
Prepare several bowls of icing in different colors.
Challenge your child to decorate each cookie differently—no two can be the same! Discuss how variety makes the batch of cookies better.
You will need:
A fun home scavenger hunt where children find items that represent things they are good at or enjoy, celebrating their own special qualities.
Instructions:
Write 5 simple clues and hide them around the house.
At each clue location, ask your child to find an object that represents something they like (e.g., a paintbrush if they like art, a ball if they like sports).
Place these items in the basket.
Once the hunt is over, sit down and have your child explain why they chose each item and why that talent makes them special.
Relate this back to Pixie revealing her true self to her class.
You will need:
Create a sensory 'calm down' jar filled with glitter. When shaken, it represents Pixie's swirling magic and confidence.
Instructions:
Fill the plastic jar about 1/3 full with warm water.
Add about 1/3 cup of clear glue to the water.
Let your child pour in as much glitter as they like (Pixie dust!).
Fill the rest of the jar with warm water, leaving a little space at the top.
Seal the lid tightly (you may want to glue it shut).
Shake the jar and watch the glitter swirl. Tell your child, 'This is your magic power. Whenever you feel worried like Pixie, shake the jar and watch the sparkle settle to feel brave again.'
You will need:
Go for a nature walk to collect leaves, twigs, and flowers, then use them to create a large pair of fairy wings on the ground.
Instructions:
Take a walk outside with a basket and collect pretty leaves, flower petals, dandelions, and small sticks.
Find a clear spot on the driveway or patio.
Use sidewalk chalk to draw the outline of two large fairy wings.
Have your child fill in the wings using the nature items they collected, arranging them in patterns.
Have your child lie down in the middle of the wings for a photo, showing off their 'nature magic'.
