Books Into Hands

A great book can change everything. It can turn a reluctant reader into an eager one. Through Books Into Hands, Kids Ask Authors Answer helps connect children with books by supporting classrooms, libraries, literacy programs, and families building home libraries. Together with authors, educators, and supporters who believe in the power of stories, we're working to ensure more children have access to books that educate, entertain, and inspire.

How Books Into Hands Works

Books Into Hands connects children's books with the readers who need them most. Through generous donations from authors, publishers, and supporters, we collect books and distribute them to classrooms, libraries, literacy programs, and families working to build home libraries.

When books become available, we work with educators, librarians, community organizations, and families to identify where they can make the greatest impact. Our goal is simple: help more children discover stories they love and increase access to quality books in the places where young readers learn, grow, and dream.
